The New Year Aftermath

My Crikey it is 2009 already.. Cant really believe it.. Although my brain cannot possibly absorb another thought at this point, kids banging stuff, fighting squealing, rushing in and out, My ears and head are fryed....

I havent done much sewing, but I did make a masterpiece!! a triple one actually. The Huge canvases... They are chock full of impasto and the picture really doesnt show the texure and the pearl paint.. They arent quite that blue either..

Do you like that?? I am happy with them, Now I need to get the fabric to make my 9 patch Aunt Becs Quilt to flip across the sofa and I am set. I need very modern fabrics in pale blue, chocolate and white.. I want that beachy, linen look.. Anyone with a fabric suggestion please feel free. I dont get out much so the options are really internet based for me! Although I might find something at Ballarat Patchwork tomorrow... I am off to meet Trash and Jodie and Gilly and a whole lot of other fellow craft bloggers..I am very excited..

I love the paintings. I wish the texture would show more in the picture but I can imagine it.

Wow you have been busy, the canvas art is impressive.
Good luck with finding the fabric, it will suit your couch and the art.

It was so lovely to meet you today! I've also had a lovely time reading your blog - your sewing is fantastic - love the things you've designed - and the crochet is adorable. We seem to have quite a few interests in common. The fabrics you bought today will be perfect for your quilt.
